1 year check-up - Good results!

I had my one-year MRI and a spot mammogram, and results were good! The mammogram said "Probably benign", which they expect after surgery, and there were no changes since 6 months ago. And the MRI showed no issues. So I remain in the status of "No evidence of Disease" and am thrilled. My feet and hands look and feel good again, which is exciting! My fingerprints are back and I'm delighted to be able to open my own jars and bottles! My main remaining symptoms are inability to focus and accomplish complicated tasks, low endurance, low arm strength, and lower breathing ability. They mostly don't bother me much and are all improving. Frank came back from a FIRST Robotics convention and tested positive for Covid a couple days later, and although we'd stayed apart since he got home, I tested positive the next day. Treatment # 11

Best week ever!

I felt really good last week. I had more energy, was able to walk further, and had very few little things that bothered me. I was able to do household chores, do some volunteer computer work, and sing a duet with our friend Brenna. They tested for covid so I could sing in person with them - just to record it for a future Sunday, since I'm not going to church in person. It was wonderful singing in person again with them and with our music director playing piano!

This week gave me a good feeling that once this is over, I will bounce back quickly!

Wednesday, it only took one try to get the IV in, but that's the first time in a long time. I am scheduled to get a port installed next Wednesday before my treatment, since the phlebotomists are having more and more trouble in general getting the IVs in. They were all excited that I was getting one, as apparently it makes everything easier for them too.

The port will be installed under the skin in my chest. I'm scheduled to be there at 6:30 am on Wednesday, so we'll be staying overnight at one of our kids' houses to get a shorter drive that day.

Thanks to Hannah, Danny, Tina and John for sharing their stories about their experiences with pic lines and ports.

Frank was happy we had a super sunny room this time!
