1 year check-up - Good results!

I had my one-year MRI and a spot mammogram, and results were good! The mammogram said "Probably benign", which they expect after surgery, and there were no changes since 6 months ago. And the MRI showed no issues. So I remain in the status of "No evidence of Disease" and am thrilled. My feet and hands look and feel good again, which is exciting! My fingerprints are back and I'm delighted to be able to open my own jars and bottles! My main remaining symptoms are inability to focus and accomplish complicated tasks, low endurance, low arm strength, and lower breathing ability. They mostly don't bother me much and are all improving. Frank came back from a FIRST Robotics convention and tested positive for Covid a couple days later, and although we'd stayed apart since he got home, I tested positive the next day. We isolated a lot, but didn't have terrible symptoms. Mostly sore throat, cough, stuffy nose, and fever for a couple of days. I'm thankful th...

Needle aspiration of lymph node

Today, we left at 6:45 am to go to our 8:30 appointment and made it just in time. Lots of traffic, a bit of snow overnight, and sun in the drivers’ eyes slowed everyone down. The view was very pretty though, with sunshine on the fresh snow! They used an ultrasound to find the lymph node (and said all the other lymph nodes definitely looked fine), then used a fine needle aspiration to take three samples of the node’s contents. Each one was inserted then she jiggled it and the tissue around it for a minute to get cells to go into the needle. They inserted a tiny titanium clip to mark the spot, then took a spot mammogram of just that area to make sure the clip was visible. Then they gave me cold packs to use for a couple hours and sent me on my way with no restrictions. Pretty easy. They’ll let me know within a week, hopefully before the chemo starts so we know if the plan will work.

We noticed some pretty artwork of birds carrying branches of hope in one hallway, and a Campbell’s Soup dress in another nook!

On the way home, we stopped to visit with our previous neighbors, I went on a walk with a friend, then I napped.
